Biyografi
Dr. Bagis has a multidisciplinary B.Sc. (combining engineering with a business degree) from ITU (2006), a theoretically focused M.A. in Economics from Sabanci University (2009) and a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of California (2014). Dr. Bagis is grateful to the Turkish Government, Tubitak, UC Regents, Fulbright, TEV, ITU and Sabanci University for all the awards, scholarships and financial support they have provided throughout his education. He has had Asst. Prof., lecturer, consultant, strategist and teaching assistant experiences both in Turkey and the USA; as well as internships at the Turkish Central Bank, various other private Turkish banks, and an airline company. His research interests lie in international finance, economic policies, monetary economics, and macroeconomics. He has taught various graduate and undergraduate level Economics, Math and Finance courses at prestigious universities (including Sabanci University in Turkey and UC Berkeley in the USA). Since his return back to academia, in 2015, he has had numerous domestic and international presentations and publications.
