Abstract
Bu çalışma Mustafa Satı Bey’in 2 Mayıs 1913 tarihinde İstanbul’da Japonya ve Japonlar hakkında verdiği konferansı ihtiva etmektedir. İlgili konferansta Avrupalılar ile temas eden milletlerin zayıfladığından bahseden Mustafa Satı Bey; bu zayıflığı yenen milletlere tek bir örnek olduğunu ve onun da Japonya olduğunu ifade etmiştir. Çalışmada Japonya’nın konumu ve coğrafi özellikleri ile birlikte onun gelişim sürecinin nasıl gerçekleştiğine işaret edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda Japonların kimler oldukları ve nereden geldiklerine dair bilgiler verilmiş, Japon kültürü hakkında detaylı bilgiler sunulmuştur. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise Türk milletinin gelişmiş milletler seviyesine gelmesi için neler yapması gerektiğine yönelik tavsiyelerde bulunulmuştur. Osmanlı Türkçesinden günümüz Türkçesine çevrilen bu çalışmanın her sayfasının alt kısmında dipnot şeklinde sözlük oluşturulmuştur. Metnin orijinal halinin korunması amacıyla bu usul benimsenirken, Konferans metninin orijinal hali de çalışmanın sonunda sunulmuştur.

Abstract
This study includes the conference given by Mustafa Satı Bey on May 2, 1913 in Istanbul on Japan and the Japanese. Mentioning that the nations that came into contact with the Europeans were weakened in the related conference, Mr. Mustafa Satı said; He stated that there is only one example for the nations that overcome this weakness, and that is Japan. In the study, it was pointed out how Japan's development process took place along with its location and geographical features. At the same time, information about who the Japanese are and where they came from is given, and detailed information about Japanese culture is presented. In the last part of the study, recommendations were made about what the Turkish nation should do to reach the level of developed nations. A dictionary in the form of footnotes has been created at the bottom of each page of this study, which was translated from Ottoman Turkish to today's Turkish. While this method was adopted in order to preserve the original version of the text, the original version of the conference text was presented at the end of the study.
