Yükselen Ekonomilerde Makro Ekonomik Dengesizliklerin Etkileşimi: Türk Cumhuriyetleri Örneği

Abstract

Çalışmada yükselen ekonomilerde gözlenen makro ekonomik dengesizlikler ve bunların karşılıklı etkileşimleri Türk Cumhuriyetleri
örneği üzerinden analiz edilmektedir. Türk Cumhuriyetleri önemli
ekonomik potansiyelleri nedeniyle yükselen ekonomiler arasında
özel bir yere sahiptir. Çalışmada Azerbaycan, Kazakistan, Kırgızistan,
Özbekistan, Tacikistan, Türkmenistan ve Türkiye’ye ait 2000-2014
dönemini kapsayan yıllık veriler kullanılmıştır. Analiz yöntemi olarak
panel VAR modelleri ve panel nedensellik testleri uygulanmıştır.
Elde edilen bulgular, bu ekonomilerde cari işlemler hesabı tutarsızlıklarından ileri gelen şokların etkileşimli olarak ciddi bir durgunluğu tetikleme olasılığının çok yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir. Cari
hesap şoklarının kur sapmalarını da önemli ölçüde etkileyebileceği
gözlenmiştir. Çıktı açığı ve kur sapmalarının cari hesap tutarsızlıkları
ve birbirleri üzerinde ciddi etkileri olduğuna dair güçlü bulgulara
ulaşılamamıştır.
