Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Theology Journal, which started publishing in 1982, is a national academic journal published by Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Theology twice a year, on June 15 and December 15. DEÜİFD is open to accepting articles throughout the year. However, it does not undertake to publish the submitted articles in the first issue that follows. Articles deemed appropriate as a result of editorial evaluation are subject to a preliminary examination (in terms of similarity rate and format) by the secretariat. Articles that pass this stage are presented to the field editors and scientific committee for evaluation. Articles that are reviewed by the field editors and the scientific committee are sent to at least two referees for review. Referees are determined among academics who are experts in the field working in the relevant departments of other universities and a double-blind referee system is applied. If one of the referees expresses a negative opinion, the editorial board chooses one of the options of sending it to a third referee or rejecting the publication, in line with the referee reports. If the article has been submitted to the opinion of a third referee, the decision on publication is made by the editorial board, taking into account the opinion of the third referee. Articles that have completed all editorial processes and received publishable reports from at least two referees are put in the queue to be published in the closest number possible. The journal uses the ISNAD citation system.
