Abstract

Year 2021, Volume: 6 Issue: 2, 389 - 397, 30.06.2021
https://doi.org/10.29106/fesa.939207

Abstract

In this study, it is discussed what open innovation and open science approaches revealed by the conditions created by the Covid-19 pandemic more clearly and the benefits they provide. For this purpose, the evaluation of the Covid-19 process in terms of these approaches is included and the benefits of open innovation and open science applications in this process are discussed with examples.
In order for countries to respond faster to the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, information, innovative ideas and pooled fund sharing are no longer an option but a necessity for the faster recovery of societies, and countries and businesses that succeeded in applying this to normal business processes after the pandemic turn this threat into an opportunity. It is evaluated that it can gain a sustainable competitive advantage.
