TIP FAKÜLTESİ ÖĞRENCİLERİNDE SERUM ÇİNKO DÜZEYLERİNİN UYKU VE BAŞARI DÜZEYLERİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Amaç: Tıp
fakültesi öğrencilerinde çinko düzeylerinin, uyku süresi ve akademik
performansla ilişkisini incelemeyi amaçladık.



Gereç ve yöntemler: Öğrencilerin demografik bilgileri, uyku düzenleri ve akademik performans
ölçütleriyle ilgili anket yapıldı.
Katılımcıların
kan örnekleri alındı ve serumları ayrıldı. Serum çinko düzeyleri
spektrofotometrik metotla ölçüldü.  



Bulgular: Çinko
düzeyleri kız ile erkek öğrenciler arasında istatistiksel olarak farklı değildi
(p>0.05). Not ortalamalarına ve uyku saatlerine göre göre çinko düzeyleri
incelendiğinde, farklılık görülmedi (p>0.05). Uyku süreleriyle not
ortalamalarının ilişkisi incelendiğinde ise 7-9 saat uyku süresine sahip
öğrencilerin not ortalamasının, <7 saat ve >9 saat uyku süresine sahip
öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu görüldü (p<0.05).



Sonuçlar: Tıp fakültesi
öğrencilerinin büyük çoğunluğu yetersiz uyku süresine sahiptir. Uygunsuz uyku
süreleri onların akademik performansıyla ilişkilidir. Çinko düzeylerinin uyku
süresi ve akademik performansla ilişkisini belirlemek için daha geniş katılımlı
çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.
