Abstract
Hermeneutics, as an art of theoretical discourse and interpretation, emerged to clarify often difficult to understand, closed, symbol-laden and creative texts. It is a hermeneutic method that aims to make sense of the content world of these texts and to understand and make the universe understandable based on them. Hermeneutics, which was initially a form of interpretation focused on the fields of mythology, philosophy, religion and law, gained a more systematic appearance with Schleiermacher and Dilthey and turned into an interpretation method also applied to literature. Then, with the efforts of Gadamer, P. Ricœur, Jauss and Iser, it became a theory that gained universal identity in a contemporary sense. Dilthey, who had a significant impact on the application of hermeneutics to literature, sees art as the organon of understanding life and attributes a great meaning to it. Dilthey, who elevates art and the artist to the level of genius, also glorifies the reader/commentator. Thus, he claims that there is a sharing of experience between the writer and the reader. According to Dilthey; the author is the one who writes the text; However, it is the reader who attributes meaning to it and interprets it. On the other hand, according to Dilthey, every artist is a part of the social, cultural and historical atmosphere into which he was born, and the work he produces is the product of this atmosphere. Thus, in understanding the author, it is of great importance to understand the atmosphere in which he was born and raised. During the years when Onat Kutlar wrote the story "İshak", themes such as questioning existence, identity crisis, loneliness, alienation, escaping from society and taking refuge in the inner world are intensively discussed in his works of this period, under the influence of the Existentialism approach that deeply influenced Turkish literature. As a matter of fact, the story "İshak" also contains the mentioned themes in many ways. Therefore, this study emerged as a product of Onat Kutlar's effort to interpret and analyze the story "İshak" from a Dilthey hermeneutical perspective.

Abstract
Bir kuramsal söylem ve yorumlama sanatı olarak hermeneutik, genellikle anlaşılması zor ve kapalı, simge yüklü ve yaratıcı metinleri netleştirmek adına ortaya çıkmış ve bu metinlerin muhteva dünyasını anlamlandırmak ve onlardan yola çıkarak kâinatı anlama ve anlaşılır kılmayı amaçlayan bir yorumbilim yöntemidir. Başlangıçta mitoloji, felsefe, din, hukuk alanlarına dönük bir yorumlama biçimi olan hermeneutik, Schleiermacher ve Dilthey ile daha sistemli bir görünüme kavuşmuş ve edebiyata da uygulanan bir yorumlama yöntemine dönüşmüştür. Ardından Gadamer, P. Ricœur, Jauss ve Iser’in çabalarıyla da çağdaş manada evrensel hüviyet kazanan bir kuram olmuştur. Hermeneutiğin edebiyata uygulanmasında önemli bir etkisi olan Dilthey, sanatı yaşamayı anlamanın aracı (organon) olarak görür ve ona büyük bir anlam yükler. Sanatı ve sanatçıyı deha seviyesine çıkaran Dilthey, aynı zamanda okur/yorumcu’yu da yüceltmektedir. Böylece yazar ile okur arasında bir tecrübe paylaşımı olduğunu öne sürer. Metni yazan yazardır; ancak ona anlam yükleyen, yorumlayan ve çeşitlendiren okurdur. Diğer yandan ona göre, her sanatçı içine doğduğu toplumsal, kültürel ve tarihsel atmosferin bir parçasıdır ve ürettiği eser de bu atmosferin ürünüdür. Böylece ona göre, yazarın anlaşılmasında içine doğduğu, yetiştiği atmosferin de anlaşılması büyük önem arz eder. Onat Kutlar’ın İshak öyküsünü yazdığı yıllarda, Türk edebiyatını derinden etkileyen varoluşçuluk anlayışının etkisiyle bu dönem eserlerinde varoluşu sorgulama, kimlik bunalımı, yalnızlık yabancılaşma, toplumdan kaçıp iç dünyaya sığınma gibi izlekler yoğun olarak işlenmektedir. Nitekim “İshak” öyküsü de birçok yönden bahsi geçen izlekleri bünyesinde barındırmaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma da Onat Kutlar’ın “İshak” öyküsünü Diltheycı hermeneutik bakışla yorumlama ve çözümleme çabasının bir ürünü olarak ortaya çıkmıştır.
