Abstract
Bu
çalışma Balkan ulus mitlerinin oluşumu ve tarihselliğini konu almaktadır. Ulus
mitleri, siyasî birim oluşturma ve bunu sürdürme azmindeki toplulukların bu
hedeflerini meşrulaştırmanın temel araçlarından addedilmektedir. Kolektif “biz”
kimliğinin karşısına “öteki”ni yerleştirmek, pek çok ulus mitinin ortak
özelliğidir. Balkanlarda, çeşitli ulusların “öteki” algısının yansımasını
Osmanlı Türklerinde bulduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada mitleştirilmiş ulusal
tarihlerin ötekileştirme süreçlerinin bir ürünü olarak Osmanlı Türkleri ile
ilişkilerin, tarihsel zeminde vuku bulan ilişkilerle mukayeseli olarak
değerlendirilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu bağlamda, Kosova ve Krbava Savaşı gibi
belirleyici savaşlar ve çeşitli Balkan ulus mitlerinde öne çıkan bazı tarihsel
şahsiyetler üzerinde bir değerlendirme yapılmaya çalışılacaktır.
