İşkoliklik ve Yenilikçi İnsan Sermayesi (YİS) İlişkisi: Akademisyenler Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Year 2017, Volume: 4 Issue: 7, 10 - 38, 15.01.2017

Abstract

Bu çalışmada,
işkoliklik düzeyi ile yenilikçi insan sermayesinin (YİS) arasındaki ilişkinin
incelenmesi; işkoliklik ve YİS düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve demografik
değişkenler açısından değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, Sakarya
Üniversitesi İşletme Fakültesi’nde görev yapan 20 akademisyen araştırmaya dâhil
edilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin toplanması için karma bir yöntem
kullanılmıştır. İşkoliklik düzeyinin belirlenmesi için
Spence ve Robbins
(1992) tarafından geliştirilen ve Ersoy-Kart (2005) tarafından Türkçeye
uyarlanan, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmış WorkBAT Ölçeği
kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların YİS düzeylerinin belirlenmesi için literatüre
dayanarak oluşturulan 14 sorulu yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat yöntemi
uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulguların neticesinde
araştırmacıların işkoliklik düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu, fakat
YİS’ni; eğitim, iş başı eğitim, iş tatmini ve yeniliklere açık olma boyutları
açısından olumsuz etkilemediği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Year 2017, Volume: 4 Issue: 7, 10 - 38, 15.01.2017

Abstract

In this study, examination of the relationship of workaholism levels and Innovative Human Capital (IHC) as well as determination of the workaholism and IHC levels with demographic variables are intended. Through this aim, 20 Academic personnel working at the Sakarya University Business School are included in the sampling process. Data collection is made with mixed data collection methods: For determining the workaholism levels, the WorkBAT Questionnaire is used that it was developed by Spence ve Robbins (1992) and the Turkish version was adapted and validity and reliability analysis were made by Ersoy-Kart (2005). For the IHC measurement of the respondents, a semi-structured interview set containing 14 questions was created from the literature. As a results of the analysis made, it was concluded that workaholism levels of the respondents are generally high, but on the other hand, this situation did not affect their IHC with dimensions of education, on the job training, work satisfaction and being open to the innovations.
