EV HANIMLARININ GİRİŞİMCİLİĞİ: GAZİANTEP İLİNDE NİTEL BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz

Ülke ekonomisinin temel
itici gücü olan girişimcilik faaliyetlerinde, toplumumuzun yarısını oluşturan
kadınlarımızın arzu edilen konumda olmaması gerek uygulayıcıların gerekse
akademisyenlerin konuya olan ilgisini arttırmıştır. Yapılan bu çalışmada da,  önemli bir kadın girişimci kaynağı olan ev
hanımlarının girişimcilik fikirleri incelenmiştir. Gaziantep ilimizdeki 128 ev
hanımından yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ile bir iş kurmaları durumunda ne
yapacaklarına ilişkin veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre kadınların
%48’inin gıda, %14’ünün tekstil sektörüne yönelik iş fikrine sahip oldukları ve
her dört kadından birinin girişimcilik sürecinde interneti kullanmayı düşündüğü
tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında ev hanımlarının olası girişimciliklerinde
çevresel ve kültürel etkilerin ön plana çıktığı belirlenerek, konu ile ilgili
uygulayıcı ve akademisyenlere önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

HOUSEWIFES’ ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH IN GAZİANTEP

Öz

The fact, the women who constitute the half of our society are not in the desired position in the entrepreneurship activities -which is the main driving force of the country’s economy-, has increased the interest of academicians and practitioner. In this study, the housewives’-who are an important source of woman entrepreneurs- idea of entrepreneurship, was examined. The data was gathered via a semi-structured interview from 128 housewives in Gaziantep by asking how to create a business plan if they set up a business. According to the findings, it was determined that 48% of the women had business idea related with food sector and 14% of the women with the textile sector while one of every four housewives has planned to use the internet in their entrepreneurship process. Within the scope of the research, it was determined that the environmental and cultural factors effect the housewives’ entrepreneurship ideas, and suggestions were made to practitioners and academicians related to the subject.
