DOĞRUDAN YABANCI YATIRIMLAR VE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ TODA-YAMAMOTO NEDENSELLİK YAKLAŞIMI
Öz
Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Söz konusu ilişki Toda-Yamamoto nedensellik sınaması yardımıyla 1980-2018 dönemi için yıllık değişkenler kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre ekonomik büyümeden doğrudan yabancı yatırımlara doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir. Diğer bir ifadeyle Türkiye’de ekonomik büyüme arttıkça ülkeye giren doğrudan yabancı yatırımların da artacağı tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçtan hareketle ekonomik büyümenin doğrudan yabancı yatırımların bir nedeni olduğu ifade edilebilir. Dolayısıyla ekonomik büyümeyi sağlayacak yatırımların ülkeye gelen doğrudan yabancı yatırımları da teşvik edeceği söylenebilir.
