PANDEMİ SÜRECİNDE MEYDANA GELEN MAKROEKONOMİK KAYIPLARIN ANALİZİ: OECD ÜLKELERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz

2019:q1-2020:q3 dönemini kapsayan bu çalışmanın amacı, OECD ülkelerinde pandemi sürecinde meydana gelen makroekonomik kayıpların ve ülkelerin makroekonomik kayıplar bakımından benzerlik gösterip göstermediklerinin analiz edilmesidir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada kümeleme analizi ve çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizleri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, pandemi öncesinde çoğu OECD ülkesi ekonomik etki açısından birbirlerine benzer özellikler gösterirken, pandemi sürecinde Türkiye, İzlanda, İrlanda, Yeni Zelanda ve Meksika gibi ülkeler ekonomik etki açısından diğer ülkelerden önemli ölçüde farklılıklar göstermektedirler. Ayrıca pandeminin en çok hissedildiği 2020'nin ikinci çeyreğinde, COVID-19 nedeniyle en fazla ekonomik kaybın İspanya, İngiltere, Meksika ve Kolombiya tarafından yaşandığı tespit edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre en çok daralma görülen ekonomik değişken dış ticaret hacmi değişkenidir.
