Many different aspects of leadership are currently being explored. In these studies, especially the moral aspect of leadership is emphasized. As a matter of fact, the moral understanding of the leaders is effective on the basis of the success of the leadership process. It is possible for a leader to build trust on his followers by displaying moral behavior. In the literature, the moral behavior and attitudes of leaders are examined in moral leadership studies. In this study, along with moral leadership, the concept of virtuous leadership, which is another aspect of leadership, is examined. Virtuous leadership is a leadership approach based on Aristotle's theory of virtue. According to virtue theory, virtue refers to the moral values that direct the behavior of individuals to the good. In this respect, virtuous leadership is a process in which leaders display virtuous behavior. In the literature, it is seen that descriptive and explanatory studies on this leadership approach are insufficient. Therefore, in this study, virtuous leadership approach was discussed and the shortcomings in the literature were tried to be eliminated.
