Referee Evaluation Guide
The in-depth examination phase is one of the indispensable factors of academic progress. Articles undergo a confidential evaluation process. Articles undergo a confidential evaluation process. The writers and readers of the Journal of Bucak Business Administration Faculty are international. The identity of the referees assigned to the articles are kept confidential and no information about the subject is given to the author. Articles submitted to the journal are taken under evaluation process. In this process, the race, gender, religious view, ethnic origin, citizenship, political orientation of the authors do not have any influence on the evaluation. The referee staff, who evaluate the works submitted to the Journal of Bucak Business Administration Faculty, are preferred among the experts of the subjects mentioned in the articles. This preference is based on the impartiality of the referees and their knowledge on the subject. Each of the referees appointed as referees to the journal are requested to fill in the evaluation form for the work and, if necessary, to prepare a separate report.


Referee reviews are expected to be professional, honest, detailed and constructive.
The essential elements required for a high-quality assessment are:
• Referees should identify the weak and strong aspects of the study and, accordingly, make recommendations to the author to improve his or her work.
• Reviewers should offer constructive criticism, considering that the data available to the author may be limited.
• Referees should contact the journal if they see any problems that may raise ethical concerns in the study.
• Referee criticism should be impartial and constructive.
• The referees are expected not to have direct contact with the author during the evaluation process.
• The referees invited to evaluate the article are expected to inform the journal about their acceptance or rejection within 7 days. If no response is received within this period, they will be considered to have rejected the invitation. The referees who have accepted the referee evaluation invitation have 15 days to evaluate. Referees who cannot complete the evaluation process may request an additional 7 days. If he does not request this additional time, a new referee is appointed.
• The application cannot be taken or copied by the referees. In addition, reviewers cannot share the work without the written permission of the editor.
• Reviewers and editors cannot make use of the research data, the results or any part of the study before the publication of the study, unless there is a written permission of the author.
Our referees should follow the steps below in order to evaluate an article sent from the system.
1) Log in to DergiPark System with your username and password.
2) Choose the Journal of Bucak Business Administration Faculty among the journals listed in your panel.
3) Access the article assigned to you by clicking on the “New Invitation” tab from the referee panel.
4) Accept the referee invitation from this section.
5) Click on the “show” title next to the relevant article to view the article information.
6) Click on the “Files” tab and download it to the computer by clicking on the “download” tab to the right of the article under the article files title.
7) Record the evaluation notes on the article. Open the Word document and click the review tab. After clicking, you need to activate the "watch changes" button. In addition, if requested, new explanations can be added by clicking the new explanation button.
8) After completing your evaluation, change the file name to “referee report”. Delete the author information. This step is important in the sense that the author does not access the referee information (“File- Check Information Issues- Inspect Document- Inspect- Document Properties and Personal Information-Remove All or Tools- Protect Document- Confidentiality- Savers- Personal Information- Remove from this file”).
9) After entering the relevant article information on the panel, go to the "files" tab and upload your report by using the "add new file" button.
10) In the article panel, click the "Evaluation" tab and fill out the "Article Evaluation Form" at the bottom of the page and complete the process by clicking the "Send Evaluation" button. After this process, you should see the message "Your action has been successfully completed" at the top of the page. If you haven't seen this message, the form It has not been sent. Please check if there are any fields in the form that you have not filled in. After correcting the deficiencies, click on the “Submit Evaluation” tab.
11) The “Major Revision” option in the “Suggestion” heading at the end of the form means “I want to see the text again after the corrections I recommend”, and the “Minor Revision” option means “There are some corrections that I recommend, but I do not need to see the text again after these corrections”. If you have requested a major revision, you will be reassigned to the article as a referee in the next process. At this stage, the process explained above is repeated in the same way (In this case, you need to accept the invitation again and review the text and repeat the above steps.) The “Accept” option means that the author is not recommended for correction and the text can be published as it is.
