Archive and Data Distribution Policy

History Studies uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) protocol to ensure long-term storage and accessibility of articles through the Dergipark infrastructure. The LOCKSS archive backs up full-text content on different servers around the world, providing continuous and reliable access to articles.

History Studies permanently records articles by identifying them with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) via Crossref. In this way, articles are assigned a unique identity and indexed in accordance with international standards. In addition, the full texts of the articles are stored in publicly available commercial and/or non-commercial archives, including TR-Dizin and other national or international indexing platforms. Authors are given the freedom to share their articles on their own websites. All issues of History Studies are also archived on its website.

In line with the principle of open access, History Studies may upload articles to certain repositories after a certain period of time. It may also cooperate with commercial repositories and indexes. In this case, the relevant policies and terms of use are clearly stated. History Studies keeps its archive and data distribution policy open to update and change. Any changes to this policy will be announced on the journal's official website.
