Peer Review Process

Text and Plagiarism Check: In the scrutiny of text and plagiarism, an assessment is conducted to verify whether the writing adheres to the editorial guidelines of the journal. Plagiarism scanning is performed through programs such as iThenticate or Turnitin, and writings with a similarity rate below 20% proceed to the preliminary evaluation phase.

Preliminary Evaluation: The Editorial Board evaluates submissions received prior to the double-blind peer-review process and determines whether they should be forwarded to a reviewer. The editorial board assesses referee recommendations for the manuscript.

Peer Review: Peer review is carried out in accordance with the principles of double-blind peer review. Once deemed suitable for review, the manuscript is sent to two different reviewers. The review process for research articles in Kare Journal typically lasts around 15 days and may be extended if necessary. If both reviewers provide a "not publishable" report, the manuscript is rejected. In the case of one reviewer recommending "publishable" and the other "not publishable," the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer. If the third reviewer's evaluation is negative, the manuscript is rejected; if positive, it proceeds to the editorial assessment and approval process. If both reviewers suggest minor revisions, the manuscript undergoes revision under the Editorial Board's guidance. After the author completes the revisions, the manuscript is directed to the Editorial Board for the final decision. If one reviewer suggests minor revisions and the other major revisions, a third reviewer is assigned. If the third reviewer recommends major revisions, the manuscript is rejected; if minor revisions are recommended, the manuscript enters the revision process. If both reviewers recommend major revisions, the manuscript is rejected by the Editorial Board. If there are revision suggestions from the reviewers, the referee form and assessment reports are sent to the author, and compliance is requested. Once the revisions recommended by the reviewers are implemented, and they report that the manuscript is ready for publication, the manuscript is sent to the author for final checks and corrections. The Editorial Board has the authority to reject a manuscript that does not consider referee reports or recommendations without providing any justification.

Proofreading Process: The manuscript corrected based on referee reports undergoes a proofreading process supervised by the Editorial Board. Manuscripts that have completed the proofreading process are conveyed to the authors for the final version.

Manuscript Information Editing Process: In the editing process, the layout of the manuscripts is arranged, and top information such as submission dates, acceptance dates, author affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID numbers are organized. The authority for manuscript sequencing rests with the Editorial Board.
