Aim & Scope

Strategic Public Management Journal (SPMJ) is an international peer-reviewed and open-access scientific journal representing a collective effort initiated by an international group aiming to support scientific research in public administration, local governance, and strategic management fields. SPMJ sets out with the goal of being a robust source for the comparative analysis of transitions to democracy, public administration reforms, strategic public management practices, and governance systems.

The general subject matter covered by articles in the journal pertains to management sciences. As a result of contemporary interdisciplinary approaches, articles encompass specific topics in public administration and local governance, such as public management, local governance, strategic management, public policy, administrative law, public policy analysis, regional development, social development, public finance, urban and regional planning, program evaluation, ethics, and comparative administrative systems.
