Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

  • In the scientific articles sent in this journal, national and international standards for editors and authors, especially COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), TUBA, and TÜBİTAK, are taken into consideration. Articles that comply with these standards are published in the journal.
  • All kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using questionnaires, interviews, focus group work, observation, experimentation, interview techniques, and retrospective studies in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data are within the scope of studies that require ethics committee approval. In studies requiring ethics committee approval, information about the permission (name of the board, date, and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article. In case reports, the information that the informed consent form was signed should be included in the article. It is necessary to comply with copyright regulations for the intellectual and artistic works used. If non-compliance with academic and ethical principles is detected during the evaluation process, the evaluation process of the studies is stopped immediately and the study is returned to the author(s) with its revision.
  • Editorial Board, Managing Editor, and Secretary are obliged to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all studies submitted to the journal until publication. During the process, only the relevant author(s) are informed about the studies.
  • The studies taken into consideration are evaluated with the double-blind referee system. In cases of conflict between referee evaluations or if the referee evaluations are insufficient, the Editorial Board may refer to a third referee opinion.
  • Referees are obliged to comply with ethical principles while making their evaluations. Referees should make their evaluations objective and avoid personal criticism of the author(s) in their evaluations and focus on the subject of assessment.
  • The final decision regarding the studies to be published in the journal belongs to the Editorial Board. The journal is not obliged to justify the authors of unpublished studies.
