prof. Dr. Biography of Bahri ERSOY
Born in 1970 in Kahramanmaraş/Elbistan, Bahri Ersoy graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Mining Engineering Department in 1991. After working in the mining industry for 2 years, she started her academic career as a Research Assistant in the Mining Engineering Department of Dumlupınar University in 1994. After completing his undergraduate degree, he transferred to Afyon Kocatepe University. He completed his master's thesis in the Materials Research Department of Tübitak-MAM, where he was assigned for one year within the scope of the cooperation protocol between Dumlupınar University and Tübitak. He started his doctorate in Istanbul Technical University Mining Faculty, Mining Engineering Department, Mineral Processing Department in 1996 and completed his doctorate in 2000. He became an Associate Professor in 2005 and a Professor in 2011 at AKU-Engineering Faculty, Mining Engineering Department, Mineral Processing Department. Bahri Ersoy has a total of 52 articles, 81 papers, 30 of which are in journals within the scope of SCI/SCI-Exp, as well as a review article published in the encyclopedia "Encyclopedia of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology". Dr. Ersoy worked as an executive, researcher and consultant in a total of 32 scientific research projects, 9 of which were Tübitak and 1 of which was the Ministry of Industry and Technology. There are 10 completed master's and 1 doctoral thesis advisory. He worked as a visiting professor at the Department of Chemical/Material Engineering at King Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia) for one year between 2010-11. He has held various positions such as Assistant Dean, Department Head, Accredited Natural Stone Analysis Laboratory Senior Manager, Technology Application and Research Center (TUAM) Manager, FBE Board Member, Faculty Board Member, Tübitak-Bideb Advisory Board Member. Ersoy is still a faculty member at AKU Mining Engineering Department and also works as the Head of the Mineral Processing Department. Providing part-time consultancy services to companies within the scope of University-Industry cooperation, Dr. Bahri Ersoy's areas of expertise are surface chemistry (free surface energy of solids, wettability/hydrophobicity, adsorption, zeta potential), dispersion of nano-colloidal suspensions and mineral/material characterization. prof. Dr. Bahri Ersoy is married and has 3 children.
