Prof. Dr. Cem Gazioglu has a Ph.D. in Department of Marine Environment-Coastal Engineering from the Istanbul University, Institute of Marine Sciences and Management and a MSc in Department of Geomatic Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. He is currently full Professor at the Istanbul University, Marine Environment. He is giving lectures on Coastal Oceanography, GIS, Remote Sensing, ICZM in MSc and PhD programs. He is chief of Marine Environment department (Istanbul University). His expertise is on Oceanography, Remote Sensing, GIS, Integrated Coastal Zone Management from both the theoretical and empirical viewpoint. He is also a frequent reviewer of different International Journals. He is also acting as a editor in chief of IJEGEO and editorial board member in several national and international journals.
