Buket Altınçelep currently a student in the Global Governance and Human Security PhD program at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Middle East Technical University and a Bachelor Degree in International Relations from TOBB University of Economics and Technology. During her undergraduate years, she was an SDG Coordinator at the UNSDSN-Youth. Since then, she has represented young people on many international platforms. For instance, she was the Civil Society Speaker under the theme of ‘’Youth, Democracy and the Rule of Law’’ at the high-level session at 40th Session of Human Rights Council in Geneva. She also works as an independent consultant. The latest project she worked on was ‘’Monitoring and Evaluating Environmental Peacebuilding Interventions: Best Practices and Guidance for Practitioners’’ run by the Environmental Law Institute and Environmental Peacebuilding Association with support from the United States Institute of Peace. Her research interests include: Global environmental governance, environmental peacebuilding, climate and disaster diplomacy, human rights and human security
