Aim & Scope

The aim of the journal is to contribute to science by publishing high-quality publications with scientific importance. The Selcuk Journal of Tourism and Information Research aims to share applicable technological transformations in the tourism sector by establishing a bridge between academia and the tourism industry. Scientific research covering technology-based applications such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, big data, cryptocurrencies, E-WOM, digital tourism, and smart tourism, which have usage areas in sub-units of the tourism sector with a holistic approach, is within the scope of the journal.

The Selcuk Journal of Tourism and Information Research publishes original scientific articles that have scientific importance. All published articles, except for editorial works, are subject to double-blind peer review.

The Selcuk Journal of Tourism and Information Research is an independent, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access, and online journal. Articles should describe original data that have not been previously published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles that comply with the submission rules and journal scope are sent for scientific evaluation by at least two expert reviewers in their field. The Editorial Board members who discuss the suitability subsequently take into account the comments of the reviewers for each submission. The final decision for all submitted articles belongs to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editorial Board of the Selcuk Journal of Tourism and Information Research pledges to comply with the criteria of the International Council of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
