Peer Review Process

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

A- Temaşa Philosophy Journal accepts articles in the categories of research articles, work evaluation and translation.
B- Temaşa Philosophy Journal is an international peer-reviewed academic journal in which spelling and plagiarism control, pre-evaluation, blind peer-review, editing and editing processes are operated.

1. Spelling and Plagiarism Check

In spelling and plagiarism control, it is checked whether the article complies with the spelling rules of the journal. Plagiarism is scanned through the iThenticate or Turnitin program, and the articles with a similarity report below 20% are pre-evaluated.

2. Preliminary Assessment

The Editorial Board evaluates the manuscripts before the Double-Blind Peer Review evaluation and determines whether they are suitable for submission to the referee. The editorial board evaluates the referee's suggestions for the article.

3. Peer Review

Referee evaluation is done based on double-blind peer review. The article that is decided to be refereed is sent to two different referees.
Temaşa Journal of Philosophy subjects the articles in the research article category to the peer-review process. The refereeing process is 15 days. This period can be extended if necessary. If two of the referees report "unpublished", the article is rejected by the Editorial Board.
If two of the referees give a "publishable" report, the article is moved to the editing process after the approval of the Editorial Board.
If one of the referees reports "can be published" and one reports "unpublished", the article is sent to a third referee. If the third referee's evaluation is negative, the article is rejected; If it is positive, it is moved to the editing process after the evaluation and approval of the Editorial Board.
If the referees have revision suggestions, the referee form and the evaluation reports, if any, are sent to the author via the system and they are requested to fulfill them.
If the referees report that it will be published after the revision suggestions are fulfilled, the article is sent to the author for final checks and corrections.
The Editorial Board has the authority to reject an article that does not consider the referee reports or the recommendations of the Editorial Board and does not provide any justification.

4. Redaction Process

The article, which is corrected after the referee reports, is subjected to the editing process by the Editorial Board.
Manuscripts whose editing process is completed are sent to the authors to be finalized.

5. Arrangement Process

In the editing process, the typesetting of the articles is done,
• Metadata, arrival and acceptance dates
• Author institution, e-mail information, ORCID numbers are arranged and prepared for publication. The Editorial Board is authorized for article ranking.

BOOK REVIEW

Evaluations of books and other works are evaluated by the Editorial Board with the skill of the editors. If necessary, it is sent to one or two referees.
If the referees report that it will be published after the revision suggestions are fulfilled, the article is sent to the author for final checks and corrections.
Subsequently, it is subjected to the proofreading and proofreading process and is made ready for publication.

TRANSLATION WORKS

Temaşa Philosophy Journal publishes only the translations of articles that are considered to have contributed significantly to the field, upon the review of the Editorial Board. The journal has the authority to reject any other article translations.
Translated articles are sent to two referees. The referees evaluate the articles in terms of the accuracy of the translation, its relationship with philosophy, its contribution to the field and grammar.
If the referees report that it will be published after the revision suggestions are fulfilled, the article is sent to the author for final checks and corrections.
Subsequently, it is subjected to the proofreading and proofreading process and made ready for publication.
